"Susan's Wetting Game" is an easy to play card game that adds some extra fun to getting wet. The game can be played by up to 4 people. Over the course of the game, the players get progressively wetter. I had a prototype set of cards made, but sadly without buying them in bulk they are very expensive per set, around $95!! The cards are of excellent quality and made from plastic so they will not be ruined by getting wet themselves. Because of the expense, I have decided not to make a general offering of this card game, however if you are interested in obtaining a set of the actual cards, contact me and we can arrange to get you a set, but keep in mind they are likely going to cost you just over $100 a set!
Due to the expensive nature of the physcial cards I decided to make a computer version of the game available instead. Unlike the physical card game which can be played by up to 4 players, in the computer version it is just you against me.
This computer version follows the exact same rules as the physical card game. I will present the rules of the game below.
Here is the MD5 summary for the executable to verify it has not been tampred with:

Note: This game should run fine in most modern versions of Windows. You must have .net framework 4.0 installed to play this game.
Steps at the beginning of each round:
1. Thoroughly shuffle the deck.
2. Deal 7 cards to each player.
3. Place the remaining cards face down between the players. This is the draw pile.
4. Take the top card of the draw pile and place it face up next to the draw pile, this is the discard pile.
Playing the Round:
Now the round is played. The player to the dealer's left is the first to play and then continues clockwise.
During each players turn they may execute one of the following options:
1. Play a numbered card from their hand to the discard pile. The card to be played must either match the dress of the card on the discard pile, or the number on the card on the discard pile. For example, if the discard pile shows the formal purple dress with a 2, then the player may play any of the other cards showing the purple formal dress, or a different dress with the number 2 on it. After the card is played then the player takes one card from the draw pile and adds it to their hand. Note, if the discard pile is empty, or the top card of the discard pile is one of the special 'D' wildcards, then ANY card played is considered a match.
2. Play one of the wildcard 'D' cards. All cards that have the 'D' symbol are wild and match any card. When playing these wild cards, the player captures all of the cards in the discard pile. They take the entire pile and place it on the table in front of them. These cards will add to their score at the end of the round. The only way to increase your score is to capture the discard pile in this way. After the discard pile is captured, no new card replaces the discard pile, the next player will have the option to play any card they want. As in option 1, after playing your 'D' card, draw one card from the draw pile to bring your hand back up to 7 cards.
3. Pass. Even if you have a valid card, you may still pass. It is never required to play a card. If you choose this option then you must accept a MINOR punishment. If you choose to pass then play immediately after your punishment goes to the next player in turn. You do not discard any cards, nor do you pick up any cards.
After a player is done, play proceeds to the next player clockwise around the table. If all players passed then a new card is taken from the draw pile and placed face up on the discard pile and then play resumes.
Ending the Round:
The current round ends when either of the 2 conditions first occurs:
1. A player played the last card in their hand with no available cards in the draw pile.
2. When all players passed and there are no available cards in the draw pile to turn up.
When the round ends, all players count the number of cards that they captured using 'D' wildcards and adds them to their score. Any cards remaining in your hand do not count towards your score, nor are they subtracted from your score.
If the agreed number of rounds have not yet been played, then collect all the cards and play the next round starting with the "Steps at the beginning of each round" step.
If the agreed on number of rounds have all been played, then the player with the highest total score is the winner. The person with the lowest score is the loser and must now accept a MAJOR penalty. When there are more than 2 players, it is up to the group to decide if the middle players must accept any kind of penalty, and what that penalty may be.
After the game is over and any penalties have been dished out, then you can either start another game, or just all get wet for the fun of it!
MINOR penatlies
A minor penalty must be accepted anytime that a player passes. The penalty is dished out by the last player who actually played a card to the discard pile. A minor penalty should be something minor, like a squirt from a spray bottle or squirt gun, a shot glass worth of water, or other such things. The idea behind a minor penalty is give just a little wetness to the person accepting the penalty, afterall, you do not want everybody getting wet too fast, just fast enough to keep it fun.
MAJOR penatlies
A major penalty is imposed upon the loser of the game (not each round). The major penalty should consist of somthing that leaves the person completely soaked, so such things as taking a shower or bath, jumping in a swimming pool or hot tub, standing in a sprinker until soaked, allowing the winner (and middle finishers) to soak the loser with super soakers, etc. Let your imagination run wild!
Final Note
It is no fun to be playing this game in bathing suits! No, no. You should be fully dressed in street clothes, as if you are going out. Or better yet, full formal dresses! And for more sting to the loser, everybody go out on the town, the loser having to go out in their totally soaked clothes! Of course everybody else can go out in whatever state of wetness they ended up in too! :)
Enjoy!
